Victoria de la Torre Victoria de la Torre

Victoria de la Torre is a designer, artist, cultural producer and engineer based in Utrecht (Netherlands) and Madrid (Spain).

Finishing her studies in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, her interests in the social and collaborative aspects of design methodologies made her start first collaborating and later co-coordinating the Association of Industrial Design Engineering (AIDI). There she has participated, co-coordinated, designed, curated and produced different cultural projects. In 2019 she co-founded the studio Macedonia, a design, innovation and research-based studio focused in finding transdisciplinar and meaningful solutions.
Now, her awareness about the contemporary context, and the complexity of its systems, linked to her chronical need for questioning has made her plot twist (or upgrade?) her professional and personal path to immerse herself into contemporary hybrid art and design practices as a way to develop new narratives and understand the world we live in. Her latest adventure is starting in 2020 as a Master in Fine Arts and Design at the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht.
